Some time ago Dahab still was a place exclusively reserved for back-packers and smokers. Now tourism is beginning to settle down, but you can still join the easy-life in the beduine-village. Here, one is spending his time at the beach, lying (!) around in restaurants, drinking, eating and doing nothing.

During your time in Dahab you will live in these nice bungalows - just a door, a mattress, and a hole in the wall ;-), simple but loveable - and cheap. You will find yourself paying just pennies for everything and if you stick to the sentence "Cook it, boil it, steam it - or forget it" , you will definitely have great fun. |

For those, who would like to do something different at a time, I recommend a camel-tour with the local beduins. It is possible to make week-trips to beduin-villages far out in the desert, which can`t be reached by any other means of transportation. Sleeping under the stars, drinking beduine-tea, .... |

The greatest thing you can do on Sinai is diving. If you are visiting Sharm el Sheik, or the famous reefs of Ras Muhammed (where it "should" be possible to see sharks ;-)), or Dahab with it`s Blue Hole - you will find cool dive-spots everywhere along the coast. And as it is possible to reach many of those spots from the shore, equipment and a taxi are enough and that makes it effordable. |
